Dietary & Lifestyle Improvements:
Dietary and lifestyle changes are the preferred treatment for most arthritis conditions. Low impact (endurance) exercises along with a range of motion exercises for flexibility can help relieve stiffness, reduce pain and fatigue, and improve muscle and bone strength. Stress-reducing activities, such as meditation, massage, yoga, or tai chi are also recommended. Get plenty of sleep. Sleeping 8 to 10 hours a night and taking naps during the day can help you recover from a flare-up more quickly and may even help prevent flare ups. Avoid staying in one position for too long. Avoid positions or movements that place extra stress on your sore joints. Lose weight, if you are overweight. Weight loss can greatly improve joint pain in the legs and feet. Avoid red meat and excessive protein consumption which blood coagulation (de-oxygenating your cells). Limit animal protein meals to once a day at lunch or better still, avoid it altogether. Avoid pasteurized milk and soft drinks; drink more fluids, especially fresh spring water and caffeine-free teas. For a more healing effect on the body you may prepare fresh servings of MBC™ juices and broths (*we recommend that you explore our ‘Garden Fresh To You’ bundle selections to get yourself started). Enema sessions are highly recommended as it works as a very effective pain reliever.
Bible Nugget/s To Chew On:
*If you are a Christian, may these verse/s help you as they've helped us:
"My grace is sufficient for you, My strength is made perfect in weakness." - 2 Corinthians 12:9
Most common root causes of arthritis include: envy, jealousy, fear, shame, confusion, rejection, sadness or depression, a sharp tongue, strife, contention, an unforgiving heart and bitterness among others. Such root causes of arthritis have always existed and it continues to grow more today than any other time in history with no sign of abating.
Yet, the cure is evidently is found in reversing the responses in human emotions. This comes through dietary/lifestyle changes and very importantly Divine intervention. For many, only by drawing closer to God and asking for His Wisdom and the power of the Holy Spirit can they hope to overcome the devastating results a sick body.
Let us further examine what the Bible says about the roots causes of arthritis:
A Sharp Tongue
“Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones” - Proverbs 16:24
(So practice saying kind words; asking God to give you words to bring healing and comfort to others instead of killing them with your tongue.)
Strife, contention, bitterness and an unforgiving heart
“For my life is spent with grief, And my years with sighing; My strength fails because of my iniquity, And my bones waste away” - Psalm 31:10
(So learn to “relax, calm down and chill-out” and not respond rashly and reactively to situations; Stop holding grudges and ask God to forgive you for holding them, regardless of who is at fault. Stay away from silly arguments to prove whose opinion is right. In fact, start praying for those who make life miserable for you.)
Envy, jealousy, shame or confusion
“An excellent[a] wife is the crown of her husband, But she who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones.” - Proverbs: 12:4
(Ask God to bring you the appropriate spouse, male or female, into your life. Get His choice and not yours.)
Fear, rejection
“Fear came upon me, and trembling, Which made all my bones shake.” - Job 4:14
(Develop a strong trust in God and lean on Him for your protection and eternal love which will never disappoint.)
Depression and sadness
“A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.oyful heart promoteth healing; but a broken spirit drieth up the bones.” – Proverbs 17:22
(Stay away as much as possible from things which promote unrest, fear or sadness such as staying glued to news reports, soap operas, etc…)
